Pastor Chris Pethel, 61, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016. Such a fitting Homegoing, for this blessed saint of God! He fought a good fight and finished his course faithfully as the pastor of Corriher Heights for 17 years. His family, friends, and church members were grieved, but determined to move on for the Glory of God just like their Pastor would have instructed them to do!

After the Homegoing of Pastor Pethel, Preacher Arnold Douthit a faithful member of Corriher Heights was voted in as interim pastor. Bro. Arnold had served in several other churches, and had already been a great help to the church in a supply role during Pastor Pethel’s sickness. He willingly stepped in and ministered to the congregation during some of their darkest days! Corriher Heights Baptist Church will always be thankful for the work and Labor of Love performed by Preacher Douthit and his wife Diane!

March 12th 2017, after a two month candidacy Corriher Heights unanimously voted in Preacher Jeremy Collins as pastor.

This brings us up to our present date. We ask that all who read these pages will pray that God will continue to bless in the future as he has in the past.
